Vice President, Zora Neale Hurston FL Education Foundation
Hello Friends of Zora, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Marina Santos Vice President of ZNHFEF. I was born in Queens, New York. In 1987 five generations of women and myself moved to settle in Fort Pierce. During my time here, I have been involved with several community organizations including my most important 30 year relationship with Resurrection Life Family Worship Center Church.
I also created many business and employment relationships like Rogolino construction (5 yrs -office manager), MG Cruises Casino Ship (3 yrs-office manager), Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) (13 yrs -office manager), Memories Made Easy (19 yrs- Wedding & event planner), Police Athletic League, and International Treasure Coast Film Festival to name a few.
I’m a mother of happily married twin daughters, grandmother of 3 beautiful girls and daughter to Brenda Cooper who was a huge community influencer. During her devotion to the Agape Senior Citizens center, she discovered Zora’s passing at 809 N 9th Street by which the Zora exhibit was created. My passion and dedication to this community project has been in the lives of all 5 generations and I’m elated to see its future.
