Save Zora

Legacy Lives Here

On behalf of the Zora Neale Hurston Florida Education Foundation (ZNHEF), I invite you to help us secure a permanent home for Zora’s legacy.

We have acquired the very building where Zora spent her final days in 1960, the former St Lucie Welfare Home, and later it became The Agape Center. Our vision is to transform it into the Zora Neale Hurston Dust Tracks Museum and Humanities Center, a world‑class destination for culture, education, and community gathering. But we cannot complete this renovation without you.

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to preserving and promoting the literary and local heritage of Zora Neale Hurston in Fort Pierce’s historic Lincoln Park Community.
